1月2日 Happy New YearHappy New Year to all our RC boating friends, we pray that the new year found you all healthy and happy. Well it's that time, to build and test those new boats and get ready for the Winternats.
We hope to see you all there and if not, we pray that you all have a prosperous new year and lots of RC boating fun.
CRT 2月4日 Welcome to the 2008 Racing SeasonWelcome back!
In November, at our District Meeting, Garson was nominated and voted into office as the 2008-2010 NAMBA District 3 Gas Director. A part of the position requires him to write a monthly Gas News Article that is posted on our NAMBA District 3 website (www.namba3.net), check it out, he does a great job. Also at that meeting, I (Carol) was voted as the 2008-2010 NAMBA D3 Safety Director. It is an honor for both of us, to serve in promoting fair play in a safe, and family friendly environment, for our District and this sport as a whole.
We have been in our new positions for a couple months , and as with any new change, there will be a few "hiccups" during the adjusting stage, because of the resistance to change. All in all, we will press on.
The 1st Race for the 2008 Season was sadly, missed by the Connor Racing team(CRT). It was the WinterNationationals held in Orlando, FL.
We are currently preparing for the 2nd race of the 2008 season, of which our club (RAM) will be the host. On the first night of this event the Racing Association of Miami (RAM), will also be hosting the 2007 NAMBA District 3 High Points Banquet. This is a semi-formal event where after a sit down dinner, trophies will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd, highest (year total) scorers of the 2007 Racing Season, in each Class. It is also another opportunity for us to fellowship.
The Classes CRT will race in this season is as follow: Garson, will be racing in the Gx1 Catamaran (CAT) Class, the Sport Hydro Class and Sport 40 Class. He may add 2 other classes later on in the year. I will be racing in the 20 Tunnel/Outboard Class and the Gx1 Catamaran(CAT) Classes only. I will try to be more diligent with my updates.

8月6日 First Impressions pt 1Hi all,
Welcome.
Connor Racing Team consists of my husband Garson and I (Carol).
In October 2004, while crusing the wide world of Ebay, Garson purchased an RC Boat. He was looking for a new interest that would amuse him
since he was off from work due to an injury. For the next few months he put many hours into re-sealing the hull, and painting the boat. He worked even more hours on another Ebay purchase that would power the boat..a weedeater engine.
On February 19th 2005 we went to lunch and didnt feel like going back home yet. We decided to just ride around to see if something interesting caught our eye that we wanted to do. We saw a remote control airplane that was circling above which peaked our couriosity. We went into the park and watched them land and take off for a while before deciding that we'd had enough. Upon leaving the airplane area we saw signs indicating the direction to an RC boat race. "Hmmm...lets check it out" said Garson.
We were facinated by the scene, there were tents and generators and lots of people and the air was crackling with excitement, and the SOUND of the boats were thrilling. We could not believe it, why had'nt we heard of this before? We were blessed enough to be invited by a nice family to share their tent and we stayed and watched every heat until the announcement was made that, racing was over for the day but would resume again the next morning at 7:30am.
Needless to say, the ride home was very joyous for us. We were both looking forward to the following day. I believe we both also knew that we had found the road that would take us on many adventures together.
